FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I make an appointment?

Give me a ring on 07411424175 or send me an email on the contact page

Please leave a voicemail if I can't answer!

Where are you based?

My private practice is based in Shalford 1 mile south of Guildford.

There is easy access to the A3 and on to the M25.

I have a purpose built warm and inviting log cabin office in my garden.

There is plenty of free parking. I am 5 mins walk from Shalford train station,

20 mins walk from Guildford town centre

How much are your fees?

Individuals 55 mins   £55

Couples   60 mins      £75

Couples   90 mins      £100

I take cash or cheques at the begining of the session or BACS payment in advance.

As with most health practitioners I requre 24 hour cancellation notice.

Cancellation after this will incur the full cost

How many sessions do I need?

This depends on you and your circumstances. Some people come for short term focused work and others have wanted longer support, for example going through a bereavement or dealing with and recovering from depression.

Most people find coming weekly at the begining helps to really shift the issue.

Some people go on to a coaching relationship where we meet monthly to review
and work on set goals

Is it confidential?

Yes everything we discuss is confidential. However as a member of the BACP I have to have a Supervisor who will know your story and will help me to keep you safe, but will not know who you are.

There are a few reasons that I am obliged to break confidentiality which are around safety - namely risk of harm to yourself or to others

Do I need to do anything before I come?

No, nothing at all But it would be helpful to just start thinking  about what you would like to change and where you want to get to so you can begin to shift your focus and attention towards improving your goals

Are you legit?

Yes, absolutely!

I am a very experienced Accredited Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and abide by their code ofconduct.
That means I have undertaken extensive training to degree level, have many logged therapy hours  (literally many thousands now!), have undergone at least 60 hours of therapy myself and had
many hours of extra training and supplementary courses.

I am insured and have regular Supervision.

Suzi is my wise counsel and guilty pleasure! I'm way past the issues around my divorce but I really benefit from 'topping up' from time to time with some coaching as I move forward. It helps me to focus and I can trust her judgement as she knows my story and has no agenda apart from to help me reach my goals. Thanks Suzi
