goal orientated techniques to enable a shift from a stuck position. I have post qualification training in many different areas including Couples Counselling, Hypnotherapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma and Abuse, Mindfulness, CBT, Creative Solutions

How I work

Drawing upon a number of different approaches my passion is to help you to get the most out of your counselling time and to reach your goals. As well as facing the painful, sad and destructive emotions within, it is also good to reach out for humour and laughter to help us find our way through troubling times, to enable us to succeed in life feeling happier and more fullfilled. Therefore although we may be dealing with painful issues I hope that you will look forward to sessions, with a sense that you will leave lighter and more content. My therapy experience is varied - as well as running my Private Practice for many years I worked in a multi-cultural environment counselling women in northeast London, some had been re-housed due to domestic violence, some had been Human Trafficked into the UK. I have worked as a therapist at the Royal Surrey hospital and also as a counsellor in a school. I have been working one day a week in a University for the last 7 years.

What's my Background?

After Uni I took my backpack and headed for Tibet. That took me a couple of years. But then I got real and had a successful career in  business, working and living abroad in a number of countries over a period of years. This international experience helps me to bring a friendly and open approach to my client work, with a real sense of the uniqueness of each person I see.

As I have myself lived my life in different languages and in different countries I understand the complexities of making yourself really understood and have many clients whose first language is not English, aiming to meet at that common place of humanity and mutual respect. I beleive that we all share a universal human desire to live a happy and fulfilled life and aim to facilitate this whoever you are, whatever your life experiences and wherever you are on your journey.

I look forward to spending time with you.
